New South Wales residents are being warned about a new phone scam where the caller pretends to be from the police. NSW Police Force said the scammers threatened the call recipients with fines or arrest.

Tried to persuade me to have windows measured for efficiency saying that they had grants available.Sure it was just a new cold calling scam and said we have T P S so they should not be calling.Line went dead.
