How long has this service been running and who is it for?
The service was created in 2011 in the Czech Republic. It is an online forum where the users can share their experience with phone numbers, both annoying (mostly telemarketing, surveys) and useful (e.g. couriers, offices)..
Since the beginning, the service has been received very well, which led to localization into more languages. Nowadays, the forum exists in more than 20 languages and 34 countries throughout the world.
The service is intended for anyone who wants to identify the owner of an unknown phone number. The creators of the forum have also recently created the mobile app Call Insider for Android phones. This app, which is connected to the database of the website number-lookup.co.uk, also allows users to automatically block telemarketing numbers.

Calling on a constant basis, the first time regarding ppi, next I had been in a crash I had no idea about and was due compensation - lucky me! Although they didn't actually know who I was. Third time the guy called up selling me life insurance, also from this number, when I declined, after leading him on for a while, he swore at me and hung up using the words 'YOU COULD HAVE JUST SAID NO'... I guess he'd had a bad day, no harm done. And just now, sitting in a university lecture, they called again, this time they're selling insurance for electrical devices! They're obviously quick workers and branch out uncannily. Don't answer the phone.

Definitely suspect. The usual PPI rubbish. Humanoid not recorded. I answered because a number was shown. She said that they had been having difficulty in awarding my compensation but when I asked who she wanted to speak to, she couldn't answer and tried to waffle. As soon as she realised that I was not about to be her next mug she hung up.
