Pesky calls: Trai to launch a digital consent authorisation platform soon
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) will launch a digital consent authorisation (DCA) platform in the next two-three months to accelerate the process of getting consumer consent on the distributed ledger technology platform (DLT) mandated by the regulator to stem pesky calls and messages.
Man with indian accent told me I had a fault with my computer. All the ant-viruses don't work!! At this stage my Husband walked in and I told him who had rung. He said oh jolly good!!! At this stage I put the phone down.

Told I have a virus on my windows PC. Really, I only use an ipad and he hung up. It is a game of probabilities, most have a windows pc, most run windows 7,most run internet explorer. They can be very convincing but don't trust them and don't let them guide you through any changes or to any websites or ask you to download anything, ever!!

Someone cold called from this number and said she was Jennifer from the tech helpline - she had a strong accent. She asked me if I was the main user of the computer and when I asked why was she calling me she hung up. Weird and suspicious.
